William Yeung is a financial advisor based in Brooklyn. What drives him is connection—meeting people, hearing their stories, and leaving an impact, even in small ways.
When he saw Jennal Wang was opening her books, he applied without expecting anything. At the time, he was coming off the best production year of his career. “Everything I’d been grinding for was finally clicking,” he said. Getting picked for the tattoo felt like part of that momentum.
His design: a dragon and phoenix.
The dragon represents his birth year. It also speaks to strength, power, and identity—qualities William connects with on a personal level. The phoenix brings balance. It’s about rising from challenges and growing through change. Together, the two symbols reflect yin and yang, resilience and transformation.
“I got it because it reminds me of who I am and where I come from,” William said. “It’s the energy I want to carry forward.”
The session started with some nerves—he hadn’t gotten tattooed in a while—but that faded quickly. The process became grounding. “It felt kind of therapeutic,” he said. And when it was done, it hit him harder than expected.
“The dragon and phoenix looked powerful. Alive. It completely exceeded my expectations. I walked out of the studio feeling proud—like I’d just turned a page in my story.”
Now, the piece stands as a permanent mark of who he is and what he’s built—past, present, and forward.
