Jennal Wang was born in the United States and raised in Being into a family rooted in traditional Chinese art and performance. Her father is a Chinese calligrapher and watercolor painter, and her mother, a former actress, brought a strong presence of storytelling and discipline into the home. That early foundation in culture and creativity continues to shape her tattoo work today.

Artist Statement

Art allows freedom to create without limits. Unlike most careers with strict boundaries, being an artist means transforming even the most abstract ideas into something tangible.

In today’s divided world, artists play a critical role. Art can connect people, challenge standards, and start conversations. It brings attention to ideas that need to be seen, felt, and understood—across all backgrounds.

For a long time, my own work lacked meaning. That changed when I began exploring how people perceive beauty starting with my own experiences. That shift helped me understand the impact artists can have and the responsibility that comes with the craft.
